VEGAN BAKED DONUTS

Vegan Baked Donuts

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom
  • 3/4 cup non-dairy milk
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons applesauce
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil (Melted)

Glaze

  • 1 1/4 cups of powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of non-dairy milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Sift the flour into a mixing bowl and add the sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cardamom.
  3. Mix together.
  4. Add the non-dairy milk , apple cider vinegar, vanilla, applesauce and melted coconut oil and mix in, removing any large lumps.
  5. Spray a donut pan with non-stick spray, or you can use a silicone donut pan and skip the spray. Using a spoon distribute the batter evenly.
  6. Bake in the oven for around 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean.
  7. They should be lightly browned.
  8. Remove from the oven and transfer to a wire cooling rack.
  9. While the donuts are cooling prepare the glaze.
  10. Mix the ingredients together. Add more milk 1 tablespoon at a time to achieve your desired consistency.
  11. Dip your donuts in the glaze
