Eating a 95 percent plant-based diet, focusing more on plant-based foods and less on animal-based foods seems right for me. I noticed on Meat free days I feel more energized. It’s well worth the effort to consume less meat and dairy even if you don’t eliminate it entirely. There are so many more nutrients in vegetables. Herbs and vegetables have so many medicinal benefits. Most of my recipes here are vegan. Take this journey with me!

1⁄2 cup boiling water
1⁄2 teaspoon liquid smoke (optional)
1 tablespoons Braggs liquid aminos (gluten-free if needed for gf diet) or 1 tablespoons soy sauce (gluten-free if needed for gf diet)
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1⁄4 teaspoon blackstrap molasses
1⁄2 cup textured vegetable protein (gluten-free if needed for diet)
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1⁄2 teaspoon crushed sage
1⁄2 teaspoon ground fennel
1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne
oil (for frying)
